Three times I dealt with this hospital, all three horrible experiences. Nobody listens, it's all computer minded. Get those charts and stats in but don't listen to the patient. Recently I spent a few days in ER observation room. The staff took my personal walker away after I informed the staff I came into the hospital with my own walker, name was applied. I was Released from the ER observation area after 3 days and a spinal steroid injection. My walker was taken and I couldn't walk out the door without it. After a few hours it was located in a locked storage room. They wouldn't offer any other until mine was found. Insisted I leave. A few weeks ago I was in for extreme dehydration, uncontrolled vomiting that turned to dry heaves and extreme diarrhea. Four days of this and I was done. Finally agreed to go to ER . Five hours later I was finally seen . Given fluids and anti nausea meds. Blood pressure was pretty high. I hadn't slept in days ,vi was exhausted. At 3 am Doctor came and asked if I had ever used an UBER . I hadn't and she had an attitude I didn't recognize as friendly. She said, "sending you home. You don't expect me to admit you because of nausea, now do you"? I didn't w

To be honest I have a long history of going to this hospital since I've lived in Bellingham most of my life. When I am able I will drive to Arlington where I lived for a bit and go to skagit regional health instead. In the amount of time it takes to drive there, be in and out within an hour and drive home is much shorter than anytime I've ever been at St. Joe's. The ONLY time I got proper care was the second time I went in for a car accident. The first time I had imaging done and was sent home with nothing. I started having tremors and extreme pain days later and went back. The doctor told me I should have been prescribed pain meds because I was lucky to survive the accident and my body was out of shock. I had tremors for a month after that. I recently had surgery at the surgery center. When I came out of surgery I wasn't comfortable I tried telling multiple nurses that everytime I closed my eyes and tried sleeping I stopped breathing. I was still moved to recovery and had the same problem. The nurse there told me if my oxygen dropped to 93 he would hook up my CPAP. I again would close my eyes and stop breathing and my oxygen went as low as 80. No nurse. I had to call a nurse, got

Not exactly a place you hope to visit, but in an emergency it’s where you need to go. My mother-in-law fell and hit her head on the sidewalk, and the team brought her into triage immediately. It wasn’t very busy for a Saturday evening, so perhaps we got lucky. All of the medical staff were kind and helpful. The only downside was the security personnel handling check-insβ€”they weren’t very friendlyβ€”but everyone else in the hospital was great. Parking and the drop-off area were convenient. Overall, it was a positive experience given the circumstances. Thankfully, it was only a one night stay for observation and she checked out the next day. Her care was thorough, the team seemed to genuinely care for her well-being. There was a lot of construction, and signage was confusing so navigating this big facility was a challenge. Although, one sign seemed to stand out as we were leaving...quite popular with visitors I'd say...

I went in for a double bypass surgery, and came out respecting the RN's and Doctors who work there even more. Brenda (RN) lifted my spirits when I was discouraged the day after surgery. She has a wonderful way of motivating me when I was questioning the decision to have bypass surgery in the first place. The TEAM concept is so very clear in the ICU department. Every RN, CNA, Food Service staff member made me feel as if I had friends there. I would highly recommend the PeaceHealth Cardiology Center for their care. Dr. Jackson was simply fantastic the way she performed "routine" bypass surgery. She may think it's routine, but I call it a miracle she bestows on each patient of hers.

My Cardiothoracic Surgery is forever in my family book. ... The best Cardiothoracic Doctor. Schmoker. He Has save my life πŸ’˜ I would be 6 feet under, but stand on the ground 6 foot tall. I lost oh, 10 lbs and am currently living a normal life. I have met some angels in the hospital. 6 months ago I lost my job right. Working at a marina view hotel as a Houseman and getting canned from my place of work of 3 full years (post COVID). To meeting one of the most compassionate people that I believe has most precision hands. Life for me is going to normal as polissible. Hard for me to love people. But, I love you,,,,, Doctor Schmoker, plus his team at peace health. I need to always mention the angels I met during my 3 week stay... Next time I will ask for some pain medicine for home, as I did have a few obstacles upon returning to the Hospital, all in I rate the Hospital 4.0 first visit. 2nd visit for swelling was, let's just say difficult to say the least 🌎 God bless you(Doctor Schmoker), and God bless your family....and your mother and your father and once again the Holy Ghost. If you need some bypass work, I'm living proof and am forever grateful. πŸ˜πŸ’•πŸ˜πŸ™‚β€β†•οΈπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™
